Last week, we introduced our second Life Skill of the year: Cooperation! A group of twelve 4th grade students worked together to share the Life Skill with our BPE students. They presented in assembly about what cooperation looks like and sounds like in different places around school. Teachers began passing out Paw Prints to recognize students demonstrating cooperation. The Life Skills Board is already filling up quickly! Students will continue to focus their efforts on showing Cooperation throughout the month of October.
We also began our second round of counselor led SEL lessons last week! We are reading the book Where Oliver Fits, by Cade Atkinson, which facilitates discussion on fitting in and how we all have a place in our BPE community. As always, you can visit our Bridge Point SEL website at bpesel.weebly.com to see when we will be visiting your child’s classroom.
